1. Hotel Bookings
All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by Hotel Jacobsen. Guests are responsible for providing accurate information when making a reservation.
A booking is considered confirmed once the hotel has confirmed it and, where applicable, the required payment or deposit has been received.
2. Check-In and Check-Out
Guests are required to provide valid identification at check-in as required by applicable Ugandan laws and hotel procedures.
Standard check-in and check-out times will be communicated at the time of booking. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may attract an additional charge.
3. Room Rates and Payments
Room rates are quoted in Uganda Shillings unless otherwise stated. Rates may vary depending on the room type, dates, promotions and availability.
Guests are responsible for settling all applicable accommodation, food, beverage and other charges incurred during their stay.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations and refunds are handled according to Hotel Jacobsen’s Refund and Cancellation Policy. Different terms may apply to promotional, group, special-rate or non-refundable bookings.
5. Guest Responsibilities
Guests are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly while using the hotel and its facilities. Guests must not engage in activities that disturb other guests, damage hotel property or violate applicable laws.
Guests are responsible for the conduct of persons visiting or staying with them.
6. Hotel Property and Damages
Guests may be charged for damage, loss or destruction of hotel property caused by themselves or persons under their responsibility, except where such damage results from normal use.
Hotel Jacobsen reserves the right to recover reasonable costs associated with such damage or loss.
7. Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and valuables. We encourage guests to use any designated hotel security facilities where available.
Hotel Jacobsen will take reasonable measures to maintain a safe environment but cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage resulting from the guest’s failure to take reasonable care of their belongings, subject to applicable law.
8. Hotel Facilities
Use of facilities such as the swimming pool, SPA, fitness facility and other amenities is subject to their respective operating hours, safety rules and availability.
Guests must follow all posted safety instructions and staff directions when using hotel facilities.
9. Children and Minors
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, particularly when using the swimming pool or other hotel facilities. Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety and conduct of minors under their care.
10. Website Use
The Hotel Jacobsen website is provided to give information about our accommodation, facilities, services and bookings. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and up to date, but room availability, prices, facilities and services may change without prior notice.
Users must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software or use the website for unlawful purposes.
11. Third-Party Services
Our website may contain links or integrations with third-party services, including payment providers or external websites. Such services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Hotel Jacobsen is not responsible for the operation or policies of third-party services.
12. Changes to Services
Hotel Jacobsen may temporarily modify, suspend or discontinue certain facilities or services where necessary for maintenance, safety, operational reasons or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
13. Liability
Hotel Jacobsen will take reasonable steps to provide safe, clean and comfortable accommodation and services. However, the hotel shall not be responsible for loss, delay or inconvenience arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, subject to applicable Ugandan law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any legal rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be handled in accordance with applicable Ugandan law.

Hotel Jacobsen may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be published on our website and will apply from the date they are posted, unless otherwise stated.
